It's Catch Up Time

    In case you haven't noticed, I've been out of touch for a few days. I've had some stuff going on. Thursday I babysat for Owen all day, but didn't on Friday cause his mommy was home sick. Also on Thursday, the brakes failed on mommy's car. Thank goodness Daddy was driving it at the time!


    And finally, after five loooong weeks away, my beloved Hubs came home from his business trip. There was much rejoicing in our house! That was a really hard time for me, we've never been apart for that long before. But at least I was in my own home, poor Hubs had to live in a hotel for all that time.


    Saturday we went over to see Sara and Owen, Hubs hadn't seen him in so long. He has grown so much! And he's laughing and smiling and making all kinds of baby noises now. We brought Sara's car home with us, and Hubs fixed it today. Then today we took it back to her. She still isn't feeling good, poor baby!


    I now have photos of all three of my beautiful grandchildren to show you! Here's Chloe, who just turned six.

    And lastly, here's baby Owen. He's almost four months old now!

    Chloe and Mason are the children of my oldest son James, and his beautiful wife Jessica. Owen is the first child of my only daughter and oldest child, Sara, and her husband Mike. My youngest child, Jesse, is getting married in October of 2015. If he and Julie decide to have kids, they have a lot to live up to!  I am truly blessed.

Where did the time go?

    I just realized that a whole week has gone by since my last post. I really don't know where the time has gone. I guess I've been busy.


    I have crocheted on my leg warmer some. I babysat for the new grandbaby Owen twice. Monday for a little while, then Friday all day. That was the day daughter Sara returned to work. It was difficult for her, as it was for all of us who had to do it.


    I've also been reading. I found a new series of books, I'm currently reading the third one. They are about a girl who discovers she is an Elf changeling, and has no memory of her former life as an Elf. They were written by an author named Liz Schulte. I'm enjoying them so far. Check them out if you can. I guess I just haven't had anything Earth-shattering to share with you all.


     

A day with the grandkids

    I spent the day today watching my grandbabies. It was awesome. I give my son and his awesome wife tons of credit. They are doing an extremely good job with these two. They listen to you when you talk to them and do what you ask of them, including putting away their toys! It's been quite an eye opening experience.


    I have one more day with them, then their regular babysitter will be all recovered. I sure hope they call me to sit with the kids when they decide to have a date night! It would be my pleasure!


    Now I am completely exhausted, since they are very active. And Mason needs to be reminded that G-ma is not a jungle gym. But he is so sweet and eventually he gets it. Chloe couldn't wait until Mason went down for his nap, so she and I could crochet together. I tried to teach her, but I'm a lousy teacher, and I think she might be a little young yet. But she did try. We will wait until she gets a little more manual dexterity under her belt. And Goddess love her, she was willing!
