This year, I have to say, my favorite gift came from my daughter, Sara. She went on line, and made calendars for my mom and me. She probably spend hours putting together all the photos, cropping them to just the right size, and matching them for the theme of each month! It's all done on the computer, and they mail it to you. But I am amazed at the photos she found of all of us, taken over the years.
Every member of the family has their important days marked on the months too. All the birthdays and anniversaries are there. I have never seen such a thoughtful gift! This is one I will keep even after the time of the calendar is over. I spoke to my mom today and she agreed with me, we both keep picking our calendars up and looking at all the pictures again and again!
And now I come to the difference between men and women. These two topics for today seem to be unrelated, but trust me, they are not. While my daughter spend untold hours pouring through and choosing the photos for our calendars, her beloved husband made one for his mom too. The difference is he simply clicked the "Auto-fill" button, and the computer put the pictures in place for him.
And that right there is a very graphic illustration of the difference between men and women, am I right? The women spend hours choosing and fussing, and the men click the fracking auto-fill button. Turns out I was right all along. Men really are just stupid little boys.
Now don't get me wrong, I love my son-in-law. And I hear his mom was tickled pink with her calendar. But come on! The easy way isn't always the best way. I sure hope my Hubs doesn't read this.....
