The Big Family Get-Together

   For the second year in a row, we had a big family get-together at daughter Sara's house. It's held the Sunday after Easter. A good time was had by all. In attendance were: My mom Mary Lou, the matriarch, my Hubs and myself, my brother Chip with his wife, Carol and son Christopher, my son James with his wife Jessica and their two kids Chloe and Mason, our son Jesse with his girlfriend Julie, and mom's friend John. The only one missing was my niece Kristen, who was feeling under the weather that day.

   Yes, I brought my camera, but I never even took it out of the case. I'm hoping Sara got some good photos, and I will steal them to post here for you to see. We started out outside, with Jess and Julie playing ladder ball. Then my Mike and Christopher challenged them to a team match up. I'm not sure who won.

   After a while, it started to sprinkle, so we took the food inside and all sat in the sun room, talking and munching. Sara's cats are afraid of crowds, so they remained out of sight for the whole visit.

   It is a very good thing for all of us to get together at least once a year. The other time we gather is Christmas, usually the day after, for lunch or dinner. Because of so many different families some with small children, it's harder to manage on Christmas Eve or Day. So we decided on the day after, or thereabouts, if everyone can make it.
